Growing for Good: Closing Ceremony
Overview
The entire food and agriculture industry’s collaboration is critical in reaching the EU Green Deal’s climate goals. However, balancing the mitigation of emissions with increasing demands to increase agricultural yields is a difficult challenge, especially at a time when food security is fragile due to geopolitical tensions. In a series of three events, the Growing for Good series, hosted by The Financial Times Live in partnership with Corteva has brought together the entire value chain to discuss how to navigate these complex trade-offs and deliver the agricultural transformation needed to meet the Green Deal objectives.
This high-level exclusive keynote discussion and knowledge sharing opportunity forms the fourth and final part of the Growing for Good series. This event, which will be conducted in the format of a conversation, is designed to present key takeaways and ideas directly to the European Commission. It offers a unique platform for farmers, senior figures in the food industry, and thought leaders in agriculture and policy who actively participated in the first three events of the series. Building upon the insights gained from the preceding events that spotlighted the food industry, farmers, and traders, this final edition will encapsulate and synthesise the innovative and collaborative strategies essential for the evolution towards a more sustainable food system.
The event will be hosted under ‘Chatham House Rule’ to allow for a free flowing conversation within the invite-only high level audience.
